DETAILS:

Hopkins VFW Post 425 will host a veteran-led community buckthorn pull in the Birch Island Woods Conservation Area, a 36-acre park in Eden Prairie. Buckthorn is an invasive plant that istaking over the park, killing off native vegetation, and needs to be removed. Volunteers will attend a short buckthorn overview and safety briefing before cutting down and removing mature buckthorn plants. Help us make our park more beautiful!

Come and join us for a fun filled day and the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby! The Auxiliary Lunch will be available at 11:30 am, with Bingo starting at noon, there will be drink specials, and hat contest with cash prizes! All proceeds will be used to support the Fisher House at the Minneapolis VA Hospital.
